SELF-CARE EDUCATION BERPENGARUH TERHADAP KONSEP DIRI PASIEN DENGAN GAGAL GINJAL KRONIK
ABSTRAK
Gagal ginjal Kronik atau GGK didefinisikan sebagai penyakit yang disebabkan ketidakmampuan ginjal dalam melaksanakan tugasnya. Konsep diri adalah suatu perasaan, kepercayaan, dan nilai yang dipahami individu terkait dirinya serta mempengaruhi individu dalam menjalin hubungan pada orang lain. Komponen konsep diri meliputi citra tubuh, harga diri, ideal diri, identitas diri, dan peran diri. Tujuan penelian untuk menganalisis pengaruh self care education terhadap konsep diri pasien dengan GGK. Penelitian analitik deskriptif melalui one grup desain pre dan post test di mana variabel self care education dan pengaruhnya terhadap variabel konsep diri pasien dengan GGK diteliti secara bersamaan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan tehnik pengumpulan data primer, dengan populasi 150 dan sampel 34 pasien. Analisis bivariat dilakukan dengan uji statistik Uji Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test pada derajat kemaknaan (α) 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa self care education berpengaruh terhadap konsep diri pada pasien GGK dengan nilai p = 0,000 (α = 0,05). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa self care education berpengaruh signifikan terhadap konsep diri pasien dengan GGK di RS Royal Prima Medan.
SELF-CARE EDUCATION INFLUENCES SELF-CONCEPT IN PATIENTS WITH THE CHRONICLE OF KIDNEY DISEASE
ABSTRACT
Chronicle of kidney disease is caused kidney ca not or able to carry out his job. Is a sense of the selfconcept, trust, and the individual knew about him and affecting individuals in connection. The selfconcept covering the body image, self-esteem, ideal self, identity, and the role of self. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of self care education on self-concept of patients with chronic kidney failure. Descriptive analytic research through one group design pre and post test in which the variables of self care education and its influence on the self-concept variables of patients with chronic kidney failure were studied simultaneously The study was conducted with primary data collection techniques, with a population of 150 and a sample of 34 patients. Bivariate analysis was performed by using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test statistic test at the significance level (α) 0.05. The results showed that self care education affected the self-concept in CRF patients with a value of p = 0,000 (α = 0.05). This study concludes that self care education has a significant effect on the self-concept of patients with CRF at Royal Prima Hospital Medan.
