ABSTRAK

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze students' mistakes in using past tense for narrative paragraphs. This research method is qualitative. The subjects in this study were 8 grade students of Pasundan Private Middle School. There were 4 errors in the results of the study namely misinformation, misordering, addition and omission. the researchers found misinformation errors were the biggest mistakes with the number 76. This was because students still did not understand the use of past tense especially in writing narrative text.
