ABSTRAK
Diseases of the nonalcoholic liver disease (NAFLD) Fatty liver disease is influenced by certain
lifestyle choices. Liver disease is reduced by exercise, losing weight, and consuming foods high
in antioxidants, such as salak herb. The investigation looked at how An weight gain model,
histopathology, and liver function in white male Wistar rats were all impacted by salak bark
extract. The following quantitative research employs a laboratory experimental design or a
real experiment. There were four experimental groups totaling twenty-four mice. R. SPSS 25.0
was used to analyze the results of the study. The results of the normality test show a 2-tailed
significance of 0.991 > 0.05. The SGOT liver function evaluation data's variance was found to
be 0.233 (p>0.05) and 0.718 (p>0.05) in the One-Way ANOVA test at a 95% confidence level
for the SGPT the liver function examination data. A snake fruit extract at 300 mg/BW scored 3
(hydropic degeneration), 500 mg/BW scored 2 (paraenchymatous degenerative conditions),
and 700 mg/BW scored 1 (normal) according to histopathological investigations. The
phytochemical screening of alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, tannins, and glycosides revealed
the presence of antioxidant-effective compounds in the secondary metabolite concentration of
salak bark extract. At 700 mg/BW, the study showed no signs of necrosis, inflammation, cell
enhancement, or fat.
