ABSTRAK
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to find out the interest and quantity of class VIII poetry writing for PUTERI SION MEDAN PRIVATE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL students. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and tends to use analysis. There are also data collection techniques that can be done by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the two findings obtained, among others, the first is the low interest
in writing student poetry because the internal and external factors give less participation to students, the second finding is the low quantity of students' literary work, especially in writing poetry.
Abstrak
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui minat dan kuantitas menulis puisi siswa kelas VIII SMP SWASTA PUTERI SION MEDAN. Ada pun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi yang bersifat deskriptif dan cenderung menggunakan analisis. Ada pun teknik pengumpulan data yang dapat dilakukan dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan dari dua hasil temuan yang diperoleh antara lain yang pertama adalah masih rendahnya
minat menulis puisi siswa dikarenakan faktor internal dan eksternalnya kurang memberikan partisipasi kepada siswanya, temuan yang kedua adalah masih rendahnya kuantitas dari hasil karya sastra siswa terutama dalam hal menulis puisi.
