ABSTRAK

Abstract.

The inflammation stage is a part of the normal skin aging process. Despite this, inflammation can also become a chronic condition that can last for several months or even years. This study uses a post-test with a control group design. Twenty ekor tikus putih jantan are divided into four (empat) groups, which are composed of the group K, the group Perlakuan 1 (P1), the group Perlakuan 2 (P2), and the group Perlakuan 3 (P3). In the process of creating gel ekstrak daun serai, simplisia daun, batang, and akar sereh wangi, a maserasi method is used, comparing simplisia and pelarut 1:5. Every day at the same time (sore and pagi), ekstrak daun serai gel is applied twice a day to each group according to the formula. The color and tone of the eyes are seen at a macroscale. Over a period of 14 days, pengukuran panjang luka sayat using penggaris is done every two days. Data with significant tikus from each group was then analyzed using SPSS version 26. Due to the sample size being less than or equal to 50, the statistical analysis used is a normality analysis using the Shapiro-Wilk test, followed by one way ANOVA and Pos Hoc test. According to the study's findings, the control group experiences the least amount of lightening, while the 10% and 15% ekstrak daun serai group experiences the fastest lightening rate.Effects on the wound have secondary metabolite compounds at a concentration of 15%, but small concentrations are only inhibiting microorganisms, thus less effective in wound healing.
