ABSTRAK

Abstract.

Exposure to UV rays can cause photochemical damage to the DNA of  the body's cells, which triggers the development of cancer, especially human skin cancer. The skin may lose its elasticity. Research is needed to confirm that currently we are still looking for plants or foods that contain collagen that can prevent wrinkles. This study is an original laboratory experiment. There are two different types of variables  in this study: independent variables and dependent variables. In this experiment, aloe Vera gel was used as an independent variable as a proxy for UVB light exposure. Here, the dependent variable is collagen development measured in mouse skin. This study found that collagen content did not increase and was stable in the standard control group. This was because the typical control treatment was not exposed to UVB rays; thus, collagen formation was stable. The group administered 15% aloe vera extract gel had a more significant effect on collagen development in rat skin tissue  after exposure to UVB light  than the 5% and 10% groups. This is because a higher dose of aloe vera extract contains more chemical components that promote  collagen formation in mouse skin..
