Hair loss is a very common hair problem. Hair loss happens to everyone, but severe cases can cause hair loss. Each hair goes through its own cycle of growth and loss. One of the herbal plants that can increase hair growth and overcome the problem of hair loss is betel leaf (Piper betle L). The aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness of Dermapen using green betel leaf extract cream (Piper betle L) on the development of fur on the surface of the skin of female Wistar rats (Rattus Norvegicus). Betel leaves have been proven to be useful in treating problems such as hair loss. Regular use of betel leaves increases hair growth, nourishes hair and makes it thicker and longer. Betel leaves also help treat itching, dandruff and split ends. The polyphenols and flavonoids found in betel leaves have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that protect hair from damage caused by free radicals that cause inflammatory skin diseases and hair loss.
