ABSTRAK

Obesity can be prevented through diet and exercise. Because plasma cholesterol levels are associated with diabetes, society's interest in treating diabetes with food and herbal medicine has increased dramatically. The purpose of this study is to identify and maximize the benefits of topical herbal treatments and antidiabetic agents. This study uses a laboratory experiment. The cholesterol-lowering effect of aloe vera was investigated in hypercholesterolemic male Wistar rats (Norwegian rats) using a control group before and after the test. Aloe vera extract (Aloe vera) lowers cholesterol, body weight, and LDL In the case of the Wistar male strain (Rattus Norvegicus) white that is currently suffering from hypercholesterolemia. obtained a single-array ANOVA result and presented a significance level that was approximately between 0.000 and 0.05. These statistics indicate that there are significant differences between the control and treatment groups. Post hoc LSD test analysis of this study yielded significance values ​​of 0.000 and 0.018 or less than 0.05, indicating that all groups were different. In hypercholesterolemic male White Wistar rats (Rattus Norvegicus), aloe vera extract significantly lowered LDL, with the 4.5% concentration group lowering LDL levels more than the other groups.
