Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk penggunaan majas perbandingan dalam puisi karya siswa kelas X SMA Al-Hidayah Medan, mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam menggunakanmajas perbandingan dalam puisi karangannya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif,Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis artinya data dikumpukan berupa kata-kata bukan angka-angka setelah itu dilakukan analisis. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan noninteraktif simak daln catat karena tidak ada pengaruh antara sumber data dan peneliti. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik dasar pilah unsur penentu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan penggunaan majas perbandingan dalam puisi siswa kelas X ditemukan beberapa majas perbandingan yang digunakan antara lain yaitu majas persimie,metafora, personifikasi, dan alegori. Kemampuan penggunaan majas perbandingan siswa cukup baik akan tetapi penggunaanya masih sangat minim.
ABSTRACT
This study alims to describe the use of compalraltive figure of speech in poetry by class X students of SMA All-Hidayah Medan, to describe students' albility to use comparaltive figure of speech in their poetry. This type of research is qualitative resealrch. The method used isdescriptive alnalysis, meaning that data is collected in the form of words not numbers, after which it analyzed. The data collection technique in this study used non-interactive observationand note-talking because there was no influence between the data source and the researcher.The data analysis technique in this uses the basic technique of sorting out the determinants. Ther esults of this study indicate that the use of comparative figure of speech in the poetry of class X students found severall comparative figures of speech used, including those of persimile,metaphor, personification, alnd allegory. The ability to use comparative figure of speech isquite good, but its use is still very minimall.
