ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kandungan berbahaya dalam   air sumur di Kebun PTPN 4 Sawit Langkat seperti kadar BOD, COD, TSS, pH, Suhu, DO, Fe, Mn, Warna dan Bau. Menggunakan metode eksperimental skala laboratorium. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa kadar Bau yang di dapat sebelum dan sesudah penyaringan tidak menghasil kan bau, warna sebelum penyaringan 133 dan hasil setelah penyaringan menghasilkan 52, BOD sebelum penyaringan 12,1 dan setelah penyaringan menghasilkan 2,8, COD sebelum penyaringan 36,6 dan setelah penyaringan 8,1, TSS sebelum penyaringan  5 dan setelah penyaringan 7, pH sebelum penyaringan 7,79 dan hasil setelah dilakukan penyaringan 8,22, Suhu sebelum penyaringan dan setelah penyaringan  hasil yang didapatkan 26 tidak mengalami perubahan , DO sebelum penyaringan  7,6 dan hasil setelah penyaringan 7,52, Fe sebelum penyaringan Fe <0,0009 dan hasil setelah dilakukan penyaringan 0,01 dan Mn sebelum penyaringan <0,001 dan hasil setelah penyaringan <0,001. Dari hasil penelitian kualitas air yang ada di areal permukiman masyarakat di PTPN 4 sawit Langkat, bahwa kualitas air masih layak untuk dikonsumsi Keputusan Peraturan Pemerintah Republik Indonesia Nomor 82 Tahun 2001 Tentang Pengelolaan Kualitas Air Dan Pengendalian Pencemaran Air Presiden Republik Indonesia.

This study aims to analyze the hazardous content in well water at PTPN 4 Sawit Langkat such as levels of BOD, COD, TSS, pH, Temperature, DO, Fe, Mn, Color and Odor. Using laboratory scale experimental methods. Based on the results of the study that the levels of odor obtained before and after filtering did not produce odor, the color before filtering was 133 and the results after filtering produced 52, BOD before filtering 12.1 and after filtering produced 2.8, COD before filtering 36.6 and after filtering 8.1, TSS before filtering 5 and after filtering 7, pH before filtering 7.79 and the result after filtering 8.22, The temperature before filtering and after filtering the results obtained 26 did not change, DO before filtering 7.6 and the yield after filtration was 7.52, the Fe before filtering was Fe <0.0009 and the result after filtering was 0.01 and the Mn before filtering was <0.001 and the result after filtering was <0.001. From the results of research on the quality of water in the community settlement area at PTPN 4 Palm Langkat, that water quality is still suitable for consumption. Decree of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia Number 82 of 2001 concerning Water Quality Management and Water Pollution Control by the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
