ABSTRAK

A series of processes that must be passed by each student, including completing a predetermined number of courses, carrying out practical fieldwork, proposal seminars, final project seminars, all of which are carried out towards graduation. However, not all students can graduate on-time in accordance with the study period taken. This sometimes causes a pile of students who do not graduate according to their graduation period. The graduation time of these students cannot always be detected early which leads to a delay in graduation. To overcome this, there needs a technique to be able to predict students’ graduation. The C5.0 algorithm forms a classification tree that can predict students’ graduation. The C5.0 algorithm has a pruning technique to trim the decision tree to be simpler, shorter also is boosting to measure the level of percentage accuracy. From the test results, by applying the C5.0 algorithm and using student data from the class of 2019 with a total of 300 data with 210 training data and 90 test data, the percentage of recall value is 94.28%, the precision value is 80.48%, the accuracy value is 88 .89%, and the error value of 11.11%.
