ABSTRAK

Abstract.

Introduction. Moringa plant (Moringa Oleifera Lamk) is one of the tropical plants with nutritional value, has an impact in the agricultural industry and has a high socio-economic. Method. This study used the true experimental design method with moringa leaf samples in mountainous and coastal areas. Moringa leaf ethanol extract (Moringa oleifera) from mountainous and coastal areas at concentrations of 75%, 50%, 25%, 12.5% and 6.25%. While the bacteria that will be used in this study are Staphylococus Epidermidis bacteria. Test the stick statiwithone wayANOVA when the data is distributed normally.

Result. The lowestbiofilm growth was obtained at a concentration of 75% in both moringa leaf samples at both 24-hour and 48-hour (p<0.05) measurements and the best inhibitory zone at a concentration of 75% inboth samples (p<0.05).

Conclusion. Coastal and mountain moringa leaf extract can significantly inhibit staphylococcus epidermidis bacterial activity and mountain moringa leaf extract shows better results than kelor coastal leaf extract
