ABSTRAK

Discotheque workers exposure to excessive loud music which classify as the noise at workplace. Noise causes health problems, namely hearing loss. Discotheque workers need to get legal protection against the impact of noise in the workplace. Aim of Study: To determine the legal protection for exposed discotheque workers to noise and noise control measures for workers. Methods: This research is classified as normative legal research or normative juridical. It was qualitative research and legal research library. The data was secondary data obtained through literature study/document study. Results: The forms of legal protection for discotheque workers are technical legal protection or work safety by engineering control of work environment modification in preventing the emergence of noise to workers, the use of ear protection equipment, setting up the working hours and job rotation, worker's health examination, and health education. Suggestion: Discotheque managers have a responsibility in providing temporary worker protection, the supervision of local Manpower, and Transmigration Office must carry out intensively and consistently , set standards/requirements in the recruitment process and clarity on health insurance in the employment contract, and giving freedom for workers to create a forums or being a members of trade unions.
