Penyakit Paru Obstruktif Kronik/PPOK (Cronic Obstruktive Pulmonary Disease/COPD) adalah penyakit paru yang menyebabkan hambatan pada saluran nafas sehingga membuat penderita menjadi sulit bernafas. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan derajat berat merokok berdasarkan indeks brinkman dengan penyakit COPD di Rumah Sakit Umum Sundari Medan tahun 2021
Desain penelitian ini menggunakan survei analitk dengan pendekatan cross sectional, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien rawat jalan dan rawat inap, di rumah sakit umum Sundari medan berjumlah 77 responden, sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah berjumlah 77 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah total sampling. Uji dalam penelitian ini adalah chi square.
Hasil penelitian didapat derajat berat merokok berdasarkan indeks Brikman berat 45 (58,4 %) dan penyakit COPD ringan 44 (57,1%) dengan nilai p-value 0,003 (< 0,05).
Kesimpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan antara derajat berat merokok berdasarkan indeks brinkman dengan penyakit COPD di RSU Sundari medan 2021. Saran peneliti ini di harapkan kepada rumah sakit perlu dilakukan penelitian ini lebih lanjut tentang derat berat merokok berdasarkan indeks brinkman dengan penyakit COPD, dengan menggunakan lokasi dan metode penelitian yang berbeda.

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease / COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease / COPD) is a lung disease that causes obstruction in the airways which makes it difficult for people to breathe. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship with people with the PPOK index at Sundari General Hospital Medan in 2021
The design of this study used an analytical survey with a cross sectional approach, in this study were outpatients and inpatients, at 77 respondents general hospital medical partners, whereas, the sample in this study was 77 respondents. The sampling technique in this study is total sampling. The test in this study is chi square.
The results of the study showed that light raster based on the Brikman index weight 45 (58.4%) and mild COPD disease 44 (57.1%) with a p-value of 0.003 (<0.05).
This research was carried out based on COPD analysis in the 2021 field medical partner partner hospital. The suggestion of this study for hospitals needs to be further researched about the weight of yahoo brinkman with COPD disease, using different locations and research methods.
