ABSTRAK

Measles is a contagious disease caused by a virus that is transmitted by coughing and sneezing. Symptoms of measles are high fever, with cough or runny nose, red patches of skin (rash) and red eyes (conjunctivitis). This disease is very dangerous if you have diarrhea, meningitis, complications of pneumonia, and can even cause death. Rubella's disease is a disease similar to Measles. This study aims to see the relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards attitudes in the implementation of the MR (Rubella Measles) Vaccine in the Mandala Medan Health Center in 2019. The study is quantitative, using a cross-sectional approach. The study population was all mothers who had children under five and based on patient visits per months as many as 385 patients at Mandala Medan Health Center in 2019. The technique of studying data by means of observation and questionnaires. The data analysis used in this study was the Chi-Square test (95% CI). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of maternal knowledge in the implementation of the MR vaccine (Rubella Measles) in the Mandala Public Health Center in Medan with a p value of 0.000 (<α = 0.05). There is a significant relationship between maternal attitudes in implementing the MR Vaccine (Rubella Measles) in the Mandala Medan Health Center with a p value of 0.000 (<α = 0.05). The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes of mothers in implementing the MR vaccine ( Rubella Measles) in Mandala Medan Health Center Area.
